Shepherd's Granddaughter

Recently, there has been several controversies and issues about the Red Maple book, "Shepherd's Granddaughter", however, in my opinion I think that the "Shepherd's Granddaughter" should NOT be pulled out from Red Maple or taken away from libraries either. This is because it isn't fair that just because of this controversy, others who want to read it can't. Plus this book is fiction which means the text in the book can be fake or real. This book shouldn't be banned just because some people don't want others to hate Israelis'. If people don't want to read it, let them not, but if they do, they shouldn't not be allowed to. Even though I haven't yet read this book, (and yes I did say yet) based on what I've heard this book isn't so bad, and if it is, it wouldn't be chosen as a Red Maple book. Other people liked this book, and it should be kept in the Red Maple category because of that. You can't ban a book if it's liked by others. Even if it speaks badly about the Israelis', people don't have to believe it!

The TDSB and the adults should also get a say in this however. Because they know what's good for us and also the right decisions on things (particularly on educational purposes) They also know whats good for us, but have that saying, we should also get a say in it as well! Because we know what's good for us as well and we make good decisions too! XD Like, I think this book shouldn't get banned, but other people may think differently, so they should put a vote about it! Majority wins. That's the fair way of doing it (and the pro way... XD)

Finally, Anne Laurel Carter has put a lot of work towards this book. So if this book gets banned, it's not fair to her. All of her hard work, gone! Even if the book is true or not, Anne's works shouldn't be banned just like any other authors.

Now that I have stated my reasons to this pressing matter, I conclude that Shepherd's Granddaughter should not be banned from libraries or the Red Maple category! My decision is strict! :D

That was a poem that basically says what music is (even though it's way more than that) I really really really REALLY LOVE music!!! Ever since I was a baby, we have these ceremonies and you have to choose some items out of a bunch of items like a book, sheet music, food, money, etc. and I chose the music and the book! So it's like I'm in love with music since I was born!!! For me music is just like this poem said, it's endless and it's art, love, passion and much more. Too much to describe!!! I love music because you can let out your feelings in anyway you want!

Music is everywhere around the world! We have English music, Indian music, Chinese music, native music, you name it, we have it. I like English music and Indian music! It's all beautiful! It can be expressed with a lot of things like your voice, an instrument, or anything just about everywhere! That's another reason why I like music. It can be expressed with anything, anyway!

Finally, music is awesome because when you have a piece of music written down you can play with it and remix it so that it will be a whole new song! And there can be any kind of music! Just by holding a note for 4 beats is music! The "tipper tapper" of my typing is music! A phone ringing is music. Music is everywhere and as a matter of fact a group called STOMP makes music from our everyday things we use like a broom stick, garbage can, and even the biting of an apple! Ever since I was small, I had different plans on what I wanted to become when I grow up. It always changed as I grew because on how I changed along the years of my life!!!

When I was I think in kindergarten, I think I wanted to be an ice-cream truck worker person. And that was because when I was small I LOVED ICE CREAM!!!! <3>

Next when I was in grade 1, I wanted to be an actress (I know my mind changes so randomly). It's because of all the really pretty Tamil actresses which made me want to be like them, but then in like 4Th grade I "discovered" that I'm not really good at acting so that career went down. Off to find another plan.

In grade 5 (I'm not copying you Subaniya) I wanted to be a fashion designer. I found it really cool and awesome the way you get to let out your creativity and ideas with clothing especially since I LOVE CLOTHES AND SHOPPING!!!

And now let's talk about grade 6. When I was in grade 6, I thought about all of the awesome teachers I had and was wondering if I should be a teacher. Then it came to my mind. Being a teacher is awesome, because you get all the vacation days and also the salary is not bad.

Now I'm in grade seven and really confused because when you think about it both fashion designer and teacher are awesome jobs so that's why I'm really confused.

I am in the middle of choosing of being a fashion designer or a teacher... not to be like I'm copying Subaniya, but it's just "great minds think alike".

So my future plans are sort of jumbled and confused between fashion designer or teacher!!! Just don't know which one to pick!

HOCKEY!!!

It's the last day of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics which is really sad :( and it is also the day Canada faces our rival USA for gold? Who will win... well I really want to see!!! Which is why I am blogging, just to kill time until the game is on TV. The last game we faced against them we unfortunately lost 5-3, but today is our last chance to show "who's game this really is" (that's from the coke ad)

A few days ago the Women's Hockey team Canada faced USA for gold! Fortunately, we won and we beat USA 2-0 for the 3rd time in a row and we have won gold 3 times in a row!!! That's awesome!!! By the way, do you know that coke commercial that I mentioned before which goes a little bit like this... click the link...

That's an awesome commercial, oh right and after the women's hockey won they changed it to "now they know who's game they're playing" and said congratulations to the women's hockey team!!! That was really good!!!

I am so excited to see the men's hockey team play!!! By the way again, did you know that more than 2/3 of Canada watched the game against Canada vs. Russia. That was a really good game and we beat them 7-3!!!

If we win this hockey game, we will have 14 gold medals!!! That's a world record for the number of gold medals in the winter olympics which is awesome!!! Still waiting and really want to watch it!!!

I also want to watch the closing ceremony. Marianas Trench (I love them) and Hedley are performing! I think Nikki are performing too but I'm not sure! I love her song "I BELIEVE" it's awesome!!! The closing ceremony is going to be...well... AWESOME!!!

The Vancouver 2010 Olympics were definitely the best! I am definitely going to miss is it *tear tear* It was certainly an Olympic to remember and BELIEVE!!! GO Canada!!! Bye, I am now going to wait until the match comes.

THE WINTER OLYMPICS ARE HERE!!!!

YAY!!! The winter Olympics are finally here, and going greatly!!! So far we are on the 11th day... and Vancouver is as beautiful as ever! Plus I have never, seen Vancouver like this or at least this part, it's so gorgeous!!!

So far Canada has won 9 medals at the Olympics and we 5th :( with 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. If we want to get to at least 3rd we have to beat Norway who has 14 medals and 6 of them are gold so we should get tied with more golds or more medals generally.

Our first gold was won by Alexandre Bilodeau for Moguls Skiing. It's great to see us win at home! The face on Alexandre's brother was truly touching to see (considering he's autistic) and he really wanted his brother to win. Alexandre says that Frederic (his brother) is his inspiration. ("Awe... so sweet")

So far we are doing pretty well, but everyone does want to see us come in the top 3! Let's hope we do! Now I want to talk about the clothing and Vancouver's Mascots.

First off, I just think that our mascots for 2010 are just cutest ones' ever. I mean look at them,

they are so cute!!! I really want one of those plush toys!!! They are just adorable. Now to clothing. This years clothing's are just unbelievably beautiful!!! I love their clothing. What I really want is again since i love the mascots is a quatchi tuque... it's so adorable!!! There are also other clothing like the "I BELIEVE" scarves, the mittens, a hoody, or if you are a big fan of hockey you can get a jersey of anyone like "SID THE KID"

Love this TUQUE... SO CUTE!!!

Well, as a mentioned before, the Olympics are going pretty well and their clothing is the best, plus I LOVE THE MASCOTS!!! (if I've said that enough) So all we can do is watch and hope for the best for our country... CANADA... let's go!!!

New Year

Hey people!!! Wow, I have never posted anything since November! I should post more often, but I always seem to forget! Note to self: remember to blog and add library thing books!!! Anyways, this post is going to be about New Year and my New Year's Resolution.

New Year is a time where we celebrate the beginning of a well, New Year!!! We think back to all the times we've had the previous year and be greatful and the things we have. New Year is a great way to celebrate with your family and hope for a great and properious new year!!! 2010 is here... get ready!!!

I celebrate New Year with my family. We sit on the couch all sitting together (actually all of us on a three seater, and there's four of us) on New Year's Eve and we wait until the clock stricks 12:00am and we scream HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We mainly watch CP24 on channel 07 and they do a special celebration. Once the clock strikes 12 and once we scream and shout, we call all of our cousins and friends and wish them happy new year!!! Well, all the them that we know who are staying up at night! Then we pray to God for a good year and that nothing will go wrong.

New Year's Resolution. This is when you make some goals that you want to achieve for the year and work hard to do it. Some people achieve it and some don't. Mostly people don't nowa days. My New Year's Resolution is to help around the house more. Although I may be active when I play sports, I am a huge couch potatoe at home because I am very lazy! I rarely wash the dishes or do laundry. The only thing I do is clean my room and do my homework!!! Other than that it's just eat, watch TV, internet, music, eat, watch TV, internet, music, and then fit in some homework in between. In the summer I go to the park often and play soccer, but other than that nothing much, so I am going help around the house more often. Will I furfill it, who know's, but let's hope I do!

Well, 2010 is here and a rollocoaster has started, get ready to get on board for a big one!!!
